About This Product
In this test a circular hole is dug in the ground and all the soil from it is collected, weighed and dried. The hole is then back-filled with a standard uniform sand or fine gravel poured from the calibrated container, so that the volume of the hole can be calculated. The apparatus is used to determine the dry density of compacted soil layers.
