How to choose a model

• Heat source: the Electric Autoclave has a 2 kW heater, the Gas Autoclave is suitable for natural or bottled gas, and the Autoclave Stainless Steel works on charcoal, kerosene, gas or electricity.
• Body material: the electric and gas models have seamless aluminium bodies and lids; the 15-litre model is made of Stainless Steel 316 and the Portable Autoclave Single Drum of thick stainless steel.
• Lid safety: the aluminium models carry a pressure gauge and double safety valve, the 15-litre model locks with six wing nuts and six lugs so it cannot be opened under pressure, and the Classic Standard Autoclave has an interlock lid.
• Load: the 15-litre model is listed for instruments, glassware, media and waste, while the Classic Standard Autoclave is designed for media, with a maximum unwrapped load of 4 kg.
