About This Product
A known current is passed through the constantan coil via the 4mm terminals to heat a liquid in the copper vessel, from which its specific heat capacity can be worked out. The vessel is lagged inside the outer vessel to reduce heat loss, and the wire stirrer in the ebonite lid keeps the liquid mixed. The coil should be run at 0.5A and never above 1A. Beyond India, the Joules Copper Calorimeter Set is available for export to Costa Rica, Cambodia, North Macedonia, South Sudan and Philippines.
